Software Test Engineer

Core Manual Testing Skills

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Good knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Ability to create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
• Defect identification, reporting, and tracking using bug management tools
• Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Sanity Testing
• Integration Testing and System Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Exploratory and Ad-hoc Testing
• Compatibility Testing (Browser, OS, Device)
• Cross-browser and Cross-platform Testing

Database Skills

• Good knowledge of SQL
• Writing basic to intermediate SQL queries
• Data validation and backend testing
• CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete)

API Testing (Preferred)

• Basic understanding of REST APIs
• Experience with tools like Postman or Swagger
• Validating request/response, status codes, and JSON payloads
