Job Description
Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer with 2 to 3 years of experience in embedded application software development for Electric Vehicles (EVs). The candidate will be responsible for the development, integration, and validation of Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) application software, diagnostics, and communication with vehicle subsystems. The candidate should have strong expertise in embedded C programming, automotive software development processes, vehicle communication protocols, and model-based development techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain VCU application software for electric vehicle platforms especially Commercial Vehicles (Buses and Trucks)
- Implement vehicle control algorithms for VCU application software functions like:
o Torque and power management
- Regenerative braking control
- Drive mode management
- Energy and thermal management
- Vehicle state management
- Fault handling and limp-home strategies
- Develop software using Embedded C and/or Model-Based Development tools.
- Integrate VCU software with Battery Management System (BMS), Motor Control Unit (MCU/Inverter), Charging System, Instrument Cluster, and Telematics modules.
- Configure and implement CAN communication, diagnostics, and vehicle network functions.
- Perform software unit testing, integration testing, and debugging on target hardware.
- Support vehicle-level validation and calibration activities.
- Create and maintain software design documents, test specifications, and traceability artifacts.
- Ensure compliance with automotive software development standards and quality processes
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum Degree: BE
• Minimum Years of experience: 2 ~ 3 yrs
