Job Summary
As a Software Engineer at Principal Financial Group, you will be at the forefront of crafting innovative and high-performance software solutions. Your role will involve crafting, developing, and implementing software that drives our products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain front end applications using React, TypeScript, Next and related frameworks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver features on time.
- Assist in bug fixing, performance tuning, and application enhancements.
- Document technical solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Software Engineer with strong expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications.
- The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge, hands-on experience in TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, and proficiency in AWS cloud services to build robust, secure, and efficient solutions.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years
- Education: Bachelor s(Engineering)/Master s in computer science or a related field.
- Must-Have Skills React.js: Components, hooks, state management.
- Must-Have Skills TypeScript: Strong typing, interfaces, generics.
- Must-Have Skills Next.js: SSR, SSG, routing, and performance optimization.
- Must-Have Skills UI Best Practices: Responsive design, accessibility (WCAG basics).
- Must-Have Skills Testing: Jest, React Testing Library.
- Must-Have Skills AWS : EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Eventbridge, API Gateway, Step Function, CloudWatch.
- Good to Have Exposure to Microservices architecture.
- Good to Have Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Good to Have Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
