Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Power BI Developer with 2-5 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and SQL. Experience with various data sources, ETL, data warehousing, and Row-Level Security (RLS) is essential, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create data models, measures, and KPIs using DAX.
• Perform data transformation and integration using Power Query.
• Gather business requirements and convert them into reporting solutions.
• Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy.
• Implement security controls including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Technical Requirements

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Proficiency in DAX, data modeling, and Power Query (M Language).
• Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries, joins, and stored procedures.
• Experience working with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and Azure data platforms.
• Good understanding of ETL, Data Warehousing, and Star/Snowflake schemas.
• Experience in report deployment, workspace management, gateways, and dataset refresh management.
• Knowledge of Power BI security, governance, and RLS implementation.
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric is preferred.
• PL-300 certification is a plus.
