We are looking for a software engineer to develop various networking (routing / forwarding) functionalities four our industry leading SD-WAN and routing solution. Some of the key areas of focus will be segmentation, segment routing, multicast, IPv6, quality-of-service, and various general networking concepts. Your work will span controllers and edge network appliances. In this role, you will collaborate with product management, technical marketing, and various cross functional teams that power the Cisco innovation. You will have the opportunity to define new architectures or enhance existing ones to provide solution to our customers. Minimum Qualifications

Masters combined with 8 years of related experience, or Bachelors combined with 10 years related experience.
Experience in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills is a must.
Experience in Networking in one or more areas IP networking, L2/L3, DHCP, DNS, Security, MPLS, QOS and Multicast, segment routing.
Working experience in areas of Multicast, QOS, MPLS is desired
Experience in all phases of SW development cycle with some exposure to agile development methodologies
Experience in Enterprise routing, SDWAN technologies and architectures is a plus.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in C/C++ with a focus on systems programming and Linux environments.
Experience with AI/ML techniques and tools for development (e.g., codex, copilot, code assistants, static analysis tools, test automation platforms).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in SDWAN technologies and architectures is a plus.
