Software Engineer Intern (2026 Batch) Who We Are

Teesta Investment is a proprietary high-frequency trading and market-making firm operating across global digital asset markets. We build low-latency trading systems that combine engineering, quantitative research, and automation to solve some of the most challenging problems in financial technology.

At Teesta, youll work alongside experienced engineers building systems where performance, reliability, and speed matter. We move fast, value ownership, and encourage people to take on meaningful work from day one.

This is a 4-month, full-time internship based out of our Kolkata office and is open exclusively to 2026 graduating students.

As a Software Engineering Intern, youll work on real engineering problems that directly support our trading infrastructure. From optimizing performance and improving system reliability to building internal tools and enhancing data pipelines, youll contribute to projects that are deployed and used in production.

This is a hands-on internship designed for students who enjoy building systems, writing efficient code, and solving complex technical challenges.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software components.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C++ and related technologies.
• Debug, optimize, and improve existing systems.

• Improve the efficiency and reliability of data transmission and processing.
• Work on multithreaded and high-performance applications.
• Contribute to performance optimization and low-latency engineering initiatives.

• Build internal tools and automation to improve developer productivity.
• Work with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems where required.
• Create clear technical documentation for features and implementations.

• Work closely with experienced software engineers on production systems.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving sessions.

• B.Tech in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from the 2026 graduating batch.
• Strong programming skills in C++. Knowledge of Rust is an added advantage.
• Strong competitive programming background with demonstrable ratings or achievements on platforms such as Codeforces, CodeChef, AtCoder, or LeetCode.
• Good understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, and Computer Networks.
• Knowledge of multithreading, multiprocessing, and AWS is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Curious, self-driven, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
