Software Development Engineer II

• This role will be a member of Software Engineering in-house team building for Zed.
• Senior Engineer will be responsible for stability and performance of apps including native Android apps, iOS Apps and web portals.
• Senior Engineer will be reponsible for code quality metrics including unit test coverage, limiting code smells and incorporating security best practices.
• Senior Engineer will work with product and SVP to close on the requirements.- As a senior engineer, he/she will be responsbile for Lead the design reviews.
• Propose and drive engineering best practices and contribute to engineering excellence.
• Work with product and design team to translate prduct requirements into an extensible tech solve.
• Mentor and participate in technical growth of junior developers working alongside SVP.
• Run the stand-ups and sprint grooming sessions witth product counterparts.
• As an IC, he/she will be responsible for timely delivery of Product tasks agreed within Sprint scope write model code that is production ready from get-go.
• Stay up to date and close to the competitive technology landscape.
• Debug any production issue arising out of app,web performance or crashes.Will be responsible for raising the bar of existing applications in terms of engineering practices.
• Will be responsible for tech research and conduct knowledge-sharing activities to stay uptodate with industry standards.
• Will be responsible for identifying tech backlog that will enhance stability and performance of the applications.Designed high scalable B2C systems in Java, Go.
• More than 6 years of experience in building performant and stable B2C apps in atleast one or more of Android Native, ReactJS and iOS Native.
• Strong experience with monitoring and observability platforms likes Sentry, Crashalytics,
• Partnered with product to tune requirements and PRD.
• Releasing B2C apps in playstore, appstore.
• Overseeing release of web portals with a decent understanding of backend system architecture.
• Mentored developers to deliver projects.

Candidate Profile

• Experience with CI/CD tools and techniques .Experience with AWS services, Dockers is preferred .Experience in ride-hailing application domain is a big plus.
• Experience in building Native android apps for highly scalable B2C use cases.
• 6+ years of App and web-development development experience.
• Predictable delivery of product features within agreed SLA, with high quality code and extensible design.
• Stability and performance of apps across forms factors, OEMs and OS platforms.
• Systematic incorporation of Engineering best practices in team.
• Stability and Availability of in-house web portals.
• Delivery of Product development features in stretched timelines
• Mentoring other team members including own IC tasks.
• Setting up SOP to get production support right.
• Setting the culture right from day 1 in the new development center.
