Job Description

  • Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies and Global Perspective lessons in alignment with the Cambridge Curriculum.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Incorporate global perspectives into the curriculum, fostering students understanding of different cultures, traditions, and global issues.

  • Student Development:
  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning among students.
  • Support the holistic development of students by integrating social, emotional, and ethical education.
  • Provide individualized support to students, ensuring all learners can achieve their potential.

  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Design and implement assessments to evaluate student progress in Social Studies and Global Perspectives.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and report on progress as required.

  • Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes respect and responsibility.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a productive learning atmosphere.

  • Collaboration:
o Work closely with colleagues to align teaching strategies and share best practices.
o Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field. A Master s degree is an advantage.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Social Studies and/or Global Perspectives at the primary school level, ideally within the Cambridge Curriculum framework.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to develop creative and innovative teaching resources.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of global issues.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably within an international school or Cambridge curriculum
