The Senior Snowflake Administrator / Data Platform Administrator is responsible for administering, securing, and supporting enterprise Snowflake data platforms across multiple environments. The role focuses on strong RBAC governance, access compliance, audit readiness, and seamless collaboration with business, engineering, application, and security teams.
Senior Snowflake Administrator Roles and Responsibilities
Administered and supported enterprise Snowflake data platforms across multiple environments (Development, Test, Production) ensuring platform stability, secure access, and compliance.
Managed Snowflake operations under SYSADMIN, SECURITYADMIN, and ACCOUNTADMIN roles while adhering to strict governance and security controls.
Designed, implemented, and maintained enterpriselevel RoleBased Access Control (RBAC) models aligned with security, audit, and leastprivilege principles.
Performed endtoend user lifecycle management, including user creation, modification, disabling, and removal.
Created and managed access roles, functional roles, application roles, and accountlevel roles to support scalable and secure access control.
Provisioned and revoked access to Snowflake warehouses, databases, schemas, tables, views, and stages strictly through rolebased access.
Troubleshot authorization failures, role inheritance issues, and missing object access across Snowflake environments.
Fulfilled ServiceNow RITM requests for Snowflake user access, service account provisioning, role grants, and objectlevel permissions.
Maintained auditsafe documentation, provided professional ServiceNow updates, and ensured compliant ticket closures.
Created and managed Snowflake service accounts for enterprise integrations including Tableau, Power BI, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Stream lit, and other applications.
Generated and maintained secure passwords and RSA key pairs (PKCS8) and supported JWTbased authentication mechanisms.
Troubleshot authentication and connectivity issues such as invalid JWT tokens, login failures, and timeout errors.
Managed Snowflake network policies, including default network policy configurations and IP whitelisting restrictions.
Supported developer and analyst connectivity using Snowflake Web UI, SQL Workspace, and VS Code Snowflake extensions (as required).
Enabled and supported Stream lit on Snowflake, including creator role assignments, permission validation, and access issue resolution.
Prepared and maintained KT documents, MOMs, platform overviews, and transition/handover artifacts to ensure operational continuity.
Collaborated closely with business users, data engineers, application teams, and security stakeholders as a Snowflake security and access subjectmatter expert.
Ensured high standards of troubleshooting, documentation quality, and communication in a regulated enterprise environment.
