Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (Backup & Disaster Recovery) to manage enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Azure Backup, Azure Recovery Services Vault, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), AWS Backup Services, and Commvault to ensure business continuity and infrastructure resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage backup strategies for Windows/Linux Virtual Machines, on-premises infrastructure, and cloud workloads.
• Configure and manage Azure Backup, Azure Recovery Services Vaults, and AWS Backup Services.
• Administer Commvault backup configuration, restore operations, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Design and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and equivalent AWS DR services.
• Plan and execute DR drills, failover, failback, and recovery validation activities.
• Ensure backup jobs meet RPO/RTO objectives and perform regular backup verification.
• Configure backup policies, retention policies, and cross-region backup strategies.
• Perform VM patching, compliance validation, and infrastructure health monitoring.
• Collaborate with SOC, Platform, and Resiliency teams for backup security, audits, and compliance.
• Maintain DR documentation, runbooks, and recovery procedures.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Infrastructure Resiliency.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Azure Backup
• Azure Recovery Services Vault
• Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
• AWS Backup Services
• Commvault Backup & Restore
• Strong understanding of:
• Backup Architecture
• Disaster Recovery Strategies
• RPO/RTO Concepts
• Backup Monitoring & Restore Operations
• Experience with Windows/Linux Virtual Machines.
• Experience in VM patching and compliance validation.

Good to Have

• Experience with Veeam or other enterprise backup tools.
• PowerShell or CLI scripting.
• Multi-cloud Disaster Recovery experience.
• Experience in large enterprise environments.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with Infrastructure, Platform, Security (SOC), and Resiliency teams.
• Proactive approach towards infrastructure protection and business continuity.
