Role Overview :

As a Lead DevOps Engineer based in Bangalore, you will spearhead the modernization of our software delivery pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks. You will act as the technical bridge between software development and system operations, ensuring that our complex engineering applications are deployed with high availability, security, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional global engineering teams to streamline build processes, optimize containerized environments, and maintain the integrity of our mission-critical industrial software platforms, directly influencing the speed and reliability of our digital energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to accelerate the release cycle of industrial software applications while ensuring rigorous quality gates.

- Manage and scale containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure consistent deployment across development, testing, and production stages.

- Automate complex infrastructure provisioning and system administration tasks using Bash, Python, and Perl to reduce manual overhead and human error.

- Oversee the build and configuration management processes by utilizing CMake scripts to support high-performance C++ applications.

- Implement advanced monitoring and logging solutions within Linux-based environments to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

- Champion version control best practices using Git to maintain code integrity and facilitate seamless collaboration among distributed global teams.

- Mentor junior engineers on DevOps best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the organization.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale Linux environments and deep proficiency in shell and scripting languages including Bash, Python, and Perl.

- Proven ability to design and orchestrate containerized workflows using Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise-grade production settings.

- Strong background in C++ build environments, with specific experience in optimizing CMake scripts for complex software architectures.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot intricate system-level issues in a high-stakes industrial environment.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical strategies to stakeholders and collaborate within a multicultural, global team structure.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid office environment in Bangalore, balancing independent technical ownership with collaborative team initiatives.

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline, backed by 8 - 15 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps or systems engineering.
