Job Description
SHIP BROKER
Dry Chartering
- To bring the shipowners and charterers together to facilitate the charter of a ship for the carriage of cargo.
- Rates agreed in the deal/charter party should be in line with the prevailing market rates.
- To protect interests of both parties by making sure all relevant terms and conditions are mutually agreed and beneficial to both parties.
- Ship Broker would involve marketing of tonnage (ships) to customers/shippers/charterers. Negotiate spot/time charters to achieve maximum income for the owners.
- Maintaining records or tonnage within the company s database.
- Ship Broker would build up a database of contacts and keep a close eye on the shipping market, interpreting trends and seeing opportunities for clients.
- Collecting market intelligence/relevant information and sharing it with clients (Charterers and Owners).
- Regular communication with clients to share and discuss market dynamics / demand and supply issues etc. which would help charterers and owners.
Qualification
Graduate / Additional qualifications in Shipping & Logistics / Marine Engineering desirable - (Dry Bulk)
Work Experience : 3 -15 Yrs of relevant experience
Location : Mohan Estate, Nr. Sarita Vihar, New Delhi
Salary : As per market standards.
