Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale SPM solutions. The role is critical in enabling portfolio transformation, financial governance, and value realization across IT and business investments.
The Architect will act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (e.g., CXO/VP level) while ensuring alignment with organizational delivery frameworks, integration standards, and managed services models.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Strategy
- Own end-to-end ServiceNow SPM solution architecture across:
- Demand Management
- Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
- Resource Management
- Financial Planning & Cost Governance
- Agile and Hybrid Delivery Models
- Define future-state architecture and transformation roadmap
- Align ServiceNow SPM solutions with enterprise architecture standards and reference models
2. Client Engagement & Advisory
- Serve as primary interface for CXO/VP-level stakeholders
- Provide strategic advisory on:
- Portfolio prioritization frameworks
- Investment optimization (CapEx vs OpEx)
- Demand-to-delivery lifecycle management
- Lead design workshops and value realization discussions
3. Implementation & Delivery Leadership
- Lead end-to-end SPM implementation programs within defined governance frameworks
- Ensure alignment with:
- Statement of Work (SoW) commitments
- Delivery timelines and milestones
- Quality assurance and compliance standards
- Drive Agile/SAFe-based execution models integrated with SPM
4. Integration & Enterprise Alignment
- Architect integrations with enterprise systems such as:
- ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle Finance)
- Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Define data governance, synchronization, and reporting models
- Ensure seamless integration with ITSM and ITOM ecosystems
- Enable enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities
5. Governance & Best Practices
- Establish SPM governance frameworks aligned with delivery standards
- Define and implement:
- Portfolio KPIs and dashboards
- Investment governance and stage gates
- Demand intake and approval workflows
- Drive continuous improvement and maturity enhancement
6. Managed Services & Transition
- Support transition to steady-state managed services model
- Define runbooks, SLAs, KPIs, and operational governance frameworks
- Enable knowledge transfer to L2/L3 support teams
- Ensure platform stability, scalability, and performance optimization
Key Skills & Experience
Mandatory Requirements
- 10-15 years of IT experience
- Minimum 5+ years of ServiceNow architecture experience
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow SPM/PPM implementations
- Proven experience in large-scale enterprise transformation programs
- Experience in client-facing roles within System Integrator environments (Wipro/Accenture/TCS preferred)
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow SPM/PPM modules
- Experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, and Script Includes
- Integration expertise using REST and SOAP APIs, MID Server
- Experience with Performance Analytics and executive dashboards
- Knowledge of financial planning and cost modeling frameworks
Key Deliverables
- SPM Architecture Blueprint and Solution Design Documents
- Portfolio Governance Framework aligned with client strategy
- Financial tracking models (budget vs actuals, forecasts, variance analysis)
- Executive dashboards (KPIs/OKRs)
- Integration architecture and enterprise data models
