Servicenow Architect

Summary
Drive the architecture, design, and strategic evolution of our enterprise Kubernetes platform. You will
set technical direction, establish standards, and lead the development of scalable, secure, and
resilient cloud-native infrastructure. This role demands deep, hands-on Kubernetes expertise and the
ability to architect solutions for complex, multi-cluster, multi-tenant environments.
Key Responsibilities

Mentor and coach engineering teams on Kubernetes best practices, advanced patterns, and
emerging technologies.
Architect and design advanced Kubernetes platforms supporting large-scale, mission-critical
workloads across multiple clusters.
Lead the development and implementation of Kubernetes security frameworks, including
RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards, secrets management, and secure multi-
tenant cluster design.

Design and oversee deployment strategies using Helm, ArgoCD, and Infrastructure as Code
(Terraform, Terragrunt) for automated, repeatable environments.
Implement and manage service mesh architectures (Istio), including traffic routing, mTLS
encryption, JWT authentication, gateway configuration, and integration with observability
tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

Define and enforce architectural standards for persistent storage, stateful workloads, and
storage class management.

Drive chaos engineering, fault injection, and resilience testing to ensure platform robustness.
Lead multi-cluster architecture initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with AWS EKS
Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to align platform architecture with
business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Conduct architectural reviews, technical governance, and decision-making for cloud-native
initiatives.
Represent platform architecture in executive and cross-functional forums, advocating for
innovation and continuous improvement.
Required Experience
¢
Extensive hands-on experience architecting and operating enterprise-scale multi-cluster
Kubernetes platforms
¢
¢
Deep technical expertise in Kubernetes internals, networking, security, and storage.
Proven track record designing and implementing service mesh solutions (Istio) and
integrating with observability platforms.

Strong background in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
Experience with AWS EKS and other cloud providers, including multi-cloud deployments.

Demonstrated ability to set architectural standards, lead platform transformation, and
influence technical strategy at the organizational level.
Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Programming/scripting experience in Python, .NET, PowerShell/Bash, and SQL.
