Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers in the datacenter.
Perform OS (Windows/Linux) administration, patching, and upgrades.
Monitor server performance, capacity, and uptime using monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot hardware, storage, and OS-related issues, escalating to vendors when needed.
Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.) and ensure optimal resource utilization.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Ensure compliance with datacenter security, ISMS, and operational policies.
Maintain server documentation, SOPs, and change management records.
Collaborate with network, storage, and DC operations teams for smooth functioning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor s degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
0-2 years of experience in server administration or datacenter operations (freshers welcome).
Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments.
Familiarity with virtualization concepts (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
Understanding of networking basics (IP, DNS, DHCP) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to work in 24x7 shift operations.
