Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure (8-10 yrs)

Role Overview :

As a Senior Lead DevOps Engineer based in Chennai, you will spearhead the architecture, automation, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, security architects, and product stakeholders to design scalable deployment pipelines and robust monitoring frameworks.

Your primary impact will be driving the transition toward a mature DevSecOps culture, ensuring that our high-traffic platforms remain resilient, secure, and performant while accelerating the delivery of critical business features.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or Azure to ensure uninterrupted service for global enterprise clients.

- Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery, reducing manual intervention and deployment cycle times.

- Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to improve environment consistency and disaster recovery capabilities across the organization.

- Collaborate with security teams to integrate automated compliance and vulnerability scanning into the development lifecycle, safeguarding sensitive employee data.

- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence, providing guidance on best practices for observability, logging, and incident management.

- Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management strategies to ensure operational efficiency without compromising system performance.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale production environments using container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.

- Proven ability to script and automate complex workflows using languages like Python, Go, or Bash to eliminate operational bottlenecks.

- Strong proficiency in managing cloud-native services and networking configurations, with a deep understanding of distributed systems architecture.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.

- A collaborative mindset, capable of leading technical initiatives within a hybrid work environment and driving consensus across distributed global teams.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, supported by 8 - 10 years of professional experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
