Senior Systems Administrator

The candidate should have proven 4+ years of working experience in managing the complete IT Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, SAN & Network Switches, etc) at a customer location

System Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems (e g, Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization environments (e g, VMware, Hyper-V)

Network Administration: Oversee network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure connectivity, security, and performance

User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and address IT-related inquiries

Security Management: Implement security measures, such as firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities

Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity

Patch Management: Apply updates, patches, and security fixes to servers and systems to keep them up to date and secure

Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and network traffic, identify bottlenecks, and optimize configurations for optimal performance

Automation: Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency

Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and IT procedures for reference and training

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation and service level agreements (SLAs)

Qualifications and Skills:Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred, but significant work experience can be a substitute

Experience: Several years of experience in systems administration, with a proven track record of managing complex IT environments
