Senior Software Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance core platform modules and shared services.
• Develop scalable APIs, backend services, and data flows for high-volume production systems.
• Lead technical architecture and system design discussions across engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, DevOps, Data Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
• Make architectural decisions balancing scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, coding standards, and platform strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7 years of software development experience in product-based organizations (B2B experience preferred).
• Experience working on platform engineering, infrastructure, or developer enablement teams.
• Strong backend development skills with the ability to work across multiple technologies such as Python, Golang, Node.js, Elixir, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application architecture.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, backend services, and scalable distributed systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working on cloud-based, customer-facing production applications.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining microservices-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and relational/non-relational databases.
• Experience designing systems used by multiple engineering teams.
• Product mindset with the ability to balance business requirements and technical excellence.
• Backend-focused engineer with some full-stack exposure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
