Automation Testing – Project Lead

This role is for a skilled Automation Tester and Project Lead specializing in Java, Playwright, and Selenium. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web applications, requiring a strong foundation in test automation principles, CI/CD, and end-to-end testing.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester with hands-on experience in Java, Playwright/Selenium to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web applications. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of test automation principles, continuous integration, and end-to-end testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute full lifecycle software development
• Analyze functional and technical requirements and create reusable, maintainable, and modular automation scripts
• Debug flaky or failed test cases and fix the issues.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient codes and reusable methods
• Ensure high quality of automation scripts through peer code reviews
• Create test case documentation, test execution reports, and status dashboards
• Write SQL queries and integrate with automated tests for backend testing
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies - sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and demos
• Familiarity with software testing methodology and release processes, Comply with the test plans, project plans

Requirements

• Rating from previous appraisals should be 3 and above

Technical Skills

Working experience required on the below technical skills:

• Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright
• Should be very good in OOP concepts
• Database (Postgres / MS SQL Server)
• Page Object Model, Design Patterns
• Knowledge of Hybrid, Keyword Driven frameworks
• Knowledge of Maven, CI/CD Tools, SVN
• Experience with Web locators, XPath, CSS locators
