Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs for enterprise-grade applications.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and related messaging technologies.
• Develop and optimize high-performance data pipelines, ETL processes, and backend integrations.
• Build cloud-native applications using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Design and optimize database solutions using MongoDB, SQL, Redis, and DynamoDB.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and high availability through best engineering practices.
• Implement robust error handling, retry mechanisms, dead-letter queues (DLQs), and monitoring solutions.
• Participate in system architecture, technical design discussions, and technology evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructure improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure system reliability.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity and software quality.

Preferred Skills

• Strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands-on experience with React.js, Next.js, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and Material UI
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and REST API development
• Experience with Apache Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka Connect, and Debezium (CDC)
• Experience working with MongoDB, SQL, Redis, and DynamoDB
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, S3, CloudWatch, and Cognito
• Experience with Serverless Architecture, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Distributed Systems, system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, logging, retry mechanisms, and Dead Letter Queues (DLQs)
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, and modern DevOps practices
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude AI, MCP, n8n, or other GenAI developer tools is an added advantage
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a distributed Agile team
