Senior Software Developer (Python)

Role & responsibilities

• Writing complex logic in Python
• Experience required as a Python Developer.
• Expertise in Django Python framework
• Lead the development of web applications using Python and the Django framework.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Implement best practices for web development, including code reviews, testing, and version control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our web applications remain cutting-edge.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers.
• Use of Python packages for Data Science will be add on.
• Experience in Server side mandate

Mandatory Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
• Hands-on experience with Django REST Framework (DRF) and RESTful API development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and MVC/MVT architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB, including SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
• Experience with asynchronous task processing using Celery and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu), Nginx, and Gunicorn.
• Familiarity with Git and Git-based version control workflows.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, and Session Authentication.
• Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms using Redis.
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and web application security.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
