Senior QA Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Python.

Perform Manual Testing including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, UAT, and Exploratory Testing.

Execute API Testing using Postman or similar tools and validate API requests, responses, authentication, and integrations.

Prepare comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, test data, and identify suitable test cases for automation.

Debug application issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely defect resolution.

Execute manual and automated regression test suites, log and track defects in Jira, and verify fixes before release.

Integrate and maintain automation test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to support continuous testing.

Preferred candidate profile

4-7 years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Automation Testing.

• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Python for web automation (Mandatory).
• Strong experience in Manual Testing, including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, UAT, and Exploratory Testing.
• Hands-on experience in REST API Testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of test case design techniques, test planning, defect lifecycle, and bug tracking tools such as Jira.
• Excellent debugging, log analysis, and root cause identification skills.
• Experience with Git and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
• Good understanding of automation framework design (Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Hybrid Frameworks) and automation best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
