Senior QA Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform functional and automated testing for legacy and web-based applications to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts using Selenium or similar tools for web and API layers.
• Validate business workflows and system integrations through comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers, QA peers, and product teams to align testing efforts with project goals.
• Analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, execution reports, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Stay informed about emerging tools and best practices to enhance testing efficiency.
• Adapt between automation and functional testing based on project needs, ensuring flexibility and thorough coverage.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressively complex experience in software engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in QA with strong expertise in Selenium/Playwright automation and functional testing.
• Proficiency in Java, Python for automation scripting.
• Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, Insomnia).
• Strong knowledge of test frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, PyTest).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SQL/No SQL databases.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
