Senior Python Developer

Job Summary

TCS is hiring for Senior Python Developer.

• Experience: 5 to 10 years
• Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune
• Education: 15 years of full-time education

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and automation scripts.
• Deploy Python applications using CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Work closely with DevOps teams on build, release, and deployment automation.
• Implement and manage containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Perform troubleshooting, RCA, and production support activities.
• Ensure adherence to security, coding standards, and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Infra, and Security.
• Support continuous improvement of DevOps and automation frameworks.

Requirements

Must-Have Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Python development (8+ years).
• Experience with Python frameworks such as Django / Flask.
• Strong exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or similar).
• Experience with Docker and container platforms.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes / OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of Linux / Unix systems.
• Experience with Git-based version control.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible / Terraform / Chef.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK).
• Knowledge of security and compliance in enterprise environments.
• BFSI domain experience.
