About the Role
Emdee Digitronics is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead its Spot Billing and Meter Reading operations across Bihar. The role will directly supervise 11 Zonal Managers, who in turn manage a field workforce of 2,000+ personnel, ensuring smooth project execution, quality control, and coordination with government stakeholders across all zones in the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of the spot billing/meter reading project across all zones in Bihar
- Supervise, guide, and review the performance of 11 Zonal Managers
- Ensure zonal teams effectively manage and deploy 2,000+ field manpower
- Monitor meter reading coverage, billing accuracy, and project timelines against targets
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government/client stakeholders and DISCOM officials
- Represent the project during client review meetings, audits, and inspections
- Track zone-wise performance through MIS/dashboards and conduct field visits for quality checks
- Drive recruitment, training, and capability-building initiatives across zones
- Manage manpower costs, budgets, and resource planning
- Resolve escalations that cannot be closed at the zonal level
- Ensure compliance with government processes, documentation, and reporting norms
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate in Engineering or any discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Operations or Project Management preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project/operations management, including experience managing large field teams
- Experience in government or PSU projects is a strong plus
- Prior experience in the power/utility sector spot billing, meter reading, or revenue collection is preferred
- Candidates based in or belonging to Bihar are preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, MIS tools, and performance dashboards
