Description
The Senior Power BI Developer with Databricks will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise\-grade Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards using Databricks as the primary data transformation and orchestration layer. This role plays a key part in enabling governed self\-service analytics and operational reporting across Greystar.
Key Responsibilities
\-\ Design and develop Power BI semantic models to support scalable and reusable reporting.
\-\ Build and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, including migration of existing Excel\-based models.
\-\ Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations and optimize datasets for performance and scalability.
\-\ Work closely with Data Engineering teams leveraging Databricks for data preparation and transformations using SQL and Python.
\-\ Implement and optimize DirectQuery, Direct Lake, and Databricks connectors as appropriate.
\-\ Publish, manage, and secure content in Power BI Service, including workspace management and app deployments.
\-\ Implement Row\-Level Security (RLS) and align with enterprise governance standards.
\-\ Monitor dataset refreshes, usage metrics, and report performance.
\-\ Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high\-quality analytics solutions.
\-\ Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and reporting best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
\-\ 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Modeling.
\-\ Strong hands\-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
\-\ Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic modeling.
\-\ Strong SQL skills with experience integrating Power BI with Databricks.
\-\ Experience with DirectQuery \/ Direct Lake and large datasets.
\-\ Experience with Power BI governance, including RLS, workspace management, and deployment practices.
\-\ Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross\-functional teams.
Preferred Experience
\-\ Experience supporting enterprise\-scale, governed self\-service analytics environments.
