Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with strong expertise in SQL to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with DAX, data modeling, and modern data platforms like Microsoft Fabric, along with a strong understanding of data transformation and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and publish interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Create complex DAX formulas, measures, and calculated columns to implement business logic and advanced analytics.
• Work with Direct Lake connectivity and have strong exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
• Use Power Query (M language) to connect to multiple data sources and perform data transformation and cleansing.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure proper data access and governance.
• Optimize Power BI data models and reports for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Analyze and troubleshoot data discrepancies, refresh failures, and performance issues.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for efficient data extraction and transformation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations and reporting solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI (Desktop & Service)
• Expertise in DAX and data modeling concepts
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Direct Lake connectivity
• Proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning)
• Experience with Power Query (M language)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
