About the Role

Core Backend Ownership: Lead the development, architecture, and scaling of robust backend services primarily using PHP (Laravel/Symfony).
System Evolution: Maintain, enhance, and modernize core PHP applications, including WordPress-based and standalone legacy systems, transitioning them toward modern architectures.
API & Integration: Design, implement, and document secure, high-performing RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
Data Management: Manage and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL databases with a strict focus on query performance, indexing, and scalability.
Cloud & DevOps Support: Support cloud-native deployments using Docker and Kubernetes across AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.
Technical Leadership: Troubleshoot complex production issues across both legacy and modern stacks, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical decision-making.

Work on a diverse ecosystem bridging high-traffic PHP applications with modern cloud microservices.
Exercise high ownership and influence over technical direction, architecture, and code quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional experts across backend, frontend, and DevOps.
