About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Oracle Infrastructure & Database Administrator to manage, automate, and optimize Oracle database and middleware environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Oracle databases, middleware, Linux administration, AWS Cloud, automation, containerization, and DevOps practices, and will support mission-critical enterprise systems with a focus on high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence.

Locations: Hyderabad | Visakhapatnam | Bengaluru | Chennai Work Model: Hybrid (3 days WFO, 2 days WFH subject to business needs) Experience: 5–10 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware, and supporting infrastructure
  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, clone, and refresh Oracle databases
  • Perform routine Oracle Database Administration activities
  • Manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery using Oracle Data Guard
  • Install, configure, and support Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Oracle APEX, and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
  • Deploy, configure, and administer Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache Tomcat, and Apache HTTP Server (httpd)
  • Administer Linux servers supporting Oracle applications and databases
  • Provision and manage AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Build and manage Docker-based containerized deployments
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline operational and administrative tasks
  • Provision infrastructure using Terraform
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, database, middleware, and networking issues
  • Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions

Required Technical Skills

Oracle Database Administration: Oracle Database 19c+, installation & configuration, upgrades & migrations, refreshes & cloning, patching (RU/RUR/CPU), performance monitoring & tuning, backup & recovery, security & user administration

High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Oracle Data Guard, switchover/failover management, DR planning & testing, backup & recovery strategy

Oracle Technologies & Middleware: Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) 8.2, Oracle APEX, Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server

Operating Systems: Strong Linux administration — user/group management, file systems, process monitoring, package management, performance tuning, cron scheduling, troubleshooting

Cloud (AWS): EC2, EBS volumes, snapshots, VPC networking, Application Load Balancer (ALB), Security Groups, IAM fundamentals

Containerization: Docker — image creation, deployment, networking, volume management

Automation & Scripting: Shell (Bash/Korn), Python, Perl; automating DB/middleware administration, health checks, infrastructure provisioning, and routine operations

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform — provisioning, configuration management, automation

Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, load balancers, network troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration and Infrastructure Management
  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments
  • Oracle certifications are a plus
