Job Description
- Attend daily breakdowns of laboratory instruments and coordinate with outside service providers.
- Initiate purchase requests for instrument spares/service parts and track procurement of laboratory spares.
- Maintain and update instrument spares and consumables records.
- Provide service reports from vendor service engineers and qualification documents.
- Initiate and complete planned modification approvals for instrument installations.
- Coordinate with vendors' instrument engineers for instrument qualification and review qualification protocols for adequacy before pre-approval.
- Prepare qualification protocols for shifting or new instruments and perform instrument qualifications after shifts between laboratories.
- Prepare SOPs for newly installed instruments and obtain annual maintenance contracts with service providers for needed instruments by getting offers and raising purchase requests.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is completed as per schedule by the annual maintenance contract agency service engineer or in-house personnel, maintaining preventive maintenance records, instrument history cards, and related documents, including travel estimates.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics/Instrumentation).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality control, preferably in pharma manufacturing.
- Possess strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
