Location : Bangalore (Bagmane Solarium)

Experience : 7 to 10 Years

Mode of Work : Hybrid (3 Days Mandatory from Office)

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior NodeJS Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable backend applications using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB. You will play a key role in architecting robust microservices, implementing secure APIs, optimizing application performance, and ensuring high availability of production systems.

This position requires strong technical expertise in backend development, cloud technologies, database optimization, security best practices, and modern deployment methodologies. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to build enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Application Development :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.

- Build scalable, reusable, and modular backend services following industry best practices.

- Develop and manage RESTful APIs and backend integrations with internal and external systems.

- Implement event-driven and asynchronous application architectures.

- Create reusable libraries, utilities, and shared services to improve development efficiency.

- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.

API Development & Integration :

- Design and implement secure REST APIs for web and mobile applications.

- Develop API versioning strategies and documentation.

- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, authentication services, and external platforms.

- Ensure API reliability, scalability, and backward compatibility.

- Implement API rate limiting, throttling, and monitoring mechanisms.

MongoDB & Database Management :

- Design efficient MongoDB schemas and collections.

- Optimize database performance through indexing, aggregation pipelines, and query tuning.

- Implement data modeling strategies for large-scale applications.

- Manage database migrations and version control.

- Ensure data integrity, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Troubleshoot database-related performance bottlenecks.

System Design & Architecture :

- Design scalable and fault-tolerant microservices architectures.

- Develop distributed systems capable of handling high traffic and large datasets.

- Implement caching strategies using Redis or similar technologies.

- Design message-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms.

- Participate in architecture reviews and system scalability planning.

- Create technical design documents and architecture diagrams.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement Node.js security best practices across applications.

- Design secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, etc.

- Protect applications against common vulnerabilities such as :

1. SQL/NoSQL Injection

2. Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)

3. Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)

4. Broken Authentication

5. Security Misconfigurations

6. API Abuse

- Implement encryption and secure data transmission practices.

- Conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and policies.

Performance Optimization :

- Analyze and improve application performance.

- Optimize Node.js event loop utilization and asynchronous operations.

- Identify memory leaks and CPU bottlenecks.

- Implement caching and database optimization strategies.

- Conduct load testing and stress testing.

- Monitor application performance metrics and resolve bottlenecks proactively.

Deployment & DevOps Collaboration :

- Manage application deployments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

- Containerize applications using Docker.

- Work with Kubernetes for container orchestration (preferred).

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment automation.

- Implement blue-green and rolling deployment strategies.

- Participate in production releases and deployment planning.

Monitoring & Production Support :

- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.

- Utilize tools such as :

1. ELK Stack

2. Grafana

3. Prometheus

4. Datadog

5. New Relic

- Monitor application health and system availability.

- Investigate and resolve production incidents.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
