Senior Network Security Operations Engineer

• Cantors Information Security team safeguards the firms global infrastructure through proactive network security operations
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to secure firewalls, remote access, and critical network components
• Hands-on role protecting network infrastructure with minimal oversight
• Lead troubleshooting, resolution, and optimization of complex network security issues
• Analyze performance metrics to ensure security, capacity, and reliability
• Drive automation and monitoring initiatives for operational efficiency
• Collaborate with teams, vendors, and customers to deliver secure, scalable solutions
• Champion ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Next-Gen Firewalls, Load Balancers, WAF, Remote Access, and DDoS protection
• Perform implementations, configuration changes, and equipment upgrades accurately
• Work with vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain lifecycle management
• Mentor junior team members with technical guidance
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and evolving security landscapes
• Define network security requirements and collaborate on design and deployment (10%)
• Support network security implementations and configurations (40%)
• Conduct root cause analysis, provide recommendations, and execute solutions (25%)
• Collaborate with SOC, NOC, MSPs, and IT management to resolve technical issues (25%).

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 7+ years hands-on experience.
• Technical expertise: Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, VPNs, Dynamic Routing (BGP/OSPF).
• Networking certifications preferred (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper).
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud networking and security, Splunk/logging solutions a plus.
• Must work in rotational schedule, 24x7 on-call, and after-hours maintenance.
