Senior Network Security Engineer - Firewall & ZTNA

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network security solutions across global environments. The role focuses on firewall-based network segmentation, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), security policy enforcement, and secure connectivity using enterprise firewall platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructures while ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business objectives into secure network architecture designs and enterprise security solutions.
• Design, implement, and support firewall-based network security solutions using Juniper OR Palo Alto OR Fortinet OR any firewall technologies.
• Architect and implement network segmentation strategies across data center, campus, and cloud environments to limit lateral movement and enforce least-privilege access.
• Design and operationalize Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles through identity, application, and network-based security controls.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to identify application dependencies and implement policy-driven segmentation.
• Define, deploy, and maintain granular security policies, security zones, routing controls, and segmentation strategies across hybrid environments.
• Integrate firewall platforms with SIEM, IAM, EDR/XDR, and cloud-native security controls for centralized visibility and policy enforcement.
• Participate in network security design reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise security standards.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement security controls across enterprise environments.
• Manage and optimize security monitoring, logging, and reporting capabilities.
• Support internal and external security audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Develop, maintain, and update security policies, processes, and operational procedures.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend improvements to strengthen the organizations security posture.
• Design, implement, and support secure VPN connectivity solutions for enterprise users and systems.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and security enhancements following ITIL-based change management practices.

• 10+ years of experience in network security and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience designing and implementing firewall-based network segmentation and security controls in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience securing hybrid environments, including enterprise data centers and cloud platforms.

Education

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Certifications

Preferred certifications include:

• CCNP or CCIE
• JNCIS, JNCIP, or JNCIE
• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications
