Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the network using tools like SolarWinds/ITOM.
- Troubleshoot basic issues with routers, switches, and WAN links.
- Configure basic VLANs, trunk ports, and interfaces.
- Handle incident tickets and escalate complex issues to L2/L3.
- Support network device installation, health checks, backups, and documentation.
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendor support (Cisco TAC, Juniper JTAC, Arista TAC).
Must-Have Skills
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI Model, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Subnetting, STP
- Basic Routing & Switching
- Experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and preferably Arista EOS
- Basic knowledge of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- Experience with NMS tools like SolarWinds or ITOM
- Comfortable working in 247 NOC rotational shifts
