Senior ML Engineer/Data Scientist

Job Description -
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist (Gen AI / AI Engineer) / ML Engineer to join our Procurement Analytics team and work on innovative Contract Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in building AI/ML solutions.
The core work involves contract intelligence that uses tech's like GenAI and Azure. The role involves developing scalable, reusable machine learning models that can be deployed across countries and zones.
Expected to collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to productionize models, set up robust pipelines, and ensure high availability and observability of ML services. The team also works on internal procurement tooling and operates within the source-to-pay lifecycle, dealing with SAP and contract clause taxonomy.

Job Title: Data Scientist + ML Engineer
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
Experience: 5 Years
Must Have:

• Strong fundamentals of data analysis, EDA or data science
• Python, Azure, AI/GenAI engineering
• AI Engineering - Lang Graph, Auto Gen, Vector DB's
• Cloud Systems - Azure - Data Lake, Databricks, AI Search
• Procurement business knowledge or other related business domains like supply chain, manufacturing, breweries or contract intelligence, etc,
• Strong communication and ability to work independently
• Basic foundations of MLOPs (Data drift, Model drift, concept drift, feature store, training pipelines)

Good to Have:

• Design and implement ML pipelines from training to deployment (batch & real-time)
• DevOps - ML Model Deployment using Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Prompt engineering and evaluation for GPT-based extraction tasks
• Enterprise domain knowledge: source-to-pay lifecycle, SAP, contract clause structures
• RabbitMQ/Kafka, Airflow, Edge VM deployments, FastAPI/Flask, API deployment, E2E Product building experience

Soft Skills:

• Passion for solving complex problems using data
• Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
• Very clear communication to stakeholders
• Taking accountability and experience with leading your tasks independently
• Ability to quickly ramp up and work independently and with others
