About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years to develop sheet metal components (e.g., enclosures, electrical panels) and optimize packaging for the e^pump. You will drive structural and thermal designs that are efficient, cost-effective, and manufacturable while meeting safety and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing for weight, volume, thermal performance, and IP sealing while ensuring serviceability and manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
• Performing conceptual designs, theoretical calculations, and tolerance stack analyses
• Developing and executing test plans to validate subsystems and full product performance
• Conducting root cause analyses (RCAs) for issues during testing and field deployment
• Collaborating with manufacturers, assembly teams, and mold designers to refine designs based on feedback
• Documenting the product development cycle from concept to production stabilization (FMEA, DFX, DVP, inspection plans, etc.)

Qualifications

• Expertise in structural design, thermal systems, and electro-mechanical packaging
• Strong understanding of fluid systems, heat transfer (conductive/convective), and refrigeration basics
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, IP sealing, and optimizing packaging for cost and performance
• Solid knowledge of materials (Metals, Plastics, Composites, Elastomers) and their applications
• Proven experience in taking a product from concept to production, backed by strong mathematical and analytical skills
