Job Description - Senior Manager IT
Reporting To - Vice President Administration / VP IT Parent Company

Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure Governance & Operations
- Lead and oversee IT operations across all campuses.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of networks, internet connectivity, servers, CCTV systems, smart classrooms, biometric devices, desktops, laptops, printers, and communication systems.
- Establish IT service standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor infrastructure performance through centralized dashboards.
- Drive preventive maintenance programs across campuses.
2. ERP & Digital Systems Management
- Own and manage all institutional ERP platforms.
- Manage user access and role-based permissions.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of institutional data.
- Lead ERP upgrades and integrations
- Ensure smooth operation of:
- Student Information Systems
- Attendance Systems
- Fee Management Systems
- HRMS
- Learning Management Systems
3. Cyber Security & Information Protection
- Develop and implement cyber security policies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk reviews.
- Establish security incident response procedures.
- Ensure protection of student, parent, staff, and institutional data.
- Manage:
- Firewalls
- Antivirus solutions
- Endpoint security
- Network security controls
- Threat monitoring systems
4. Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Define and implement backup policies.
- Monitor backup schedules and recovery processes.
- Conduct disaster recovery drills and testing.
- Maintain business continuity plans for all critical systems.
- Ensure availability of recovery documentation.
5. IT Risk Management & Compliance
- Conduct periodic IT risk assessments.
- Maintain technology risk registers.
- Ensure software license compliance.
- Coordinate internal and external IT audits.
- Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements.
6. Academic Technology Enablement
- Support digital learning initiatives across campuses.
- Support academic teams during examinations and result processing.
- Ensure readiness of:
- Smart classrooms
- Digital content delivery systems
- Online examination platforms
- Assessment and reporting systems
7. Service Delivery & Stakeholder Support
- Lead centralized IT support functions.
- Support Academic, Admissions, Finance, HR, Administration, Transport, and Operations teams.
- Manage helpdesk operations and service delivery standards.
- Drive customer satisfaction initiatives.
8. Vendor Management & Technology Projects
- Manage technology vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate AMCs and support contracts.
- Lead technology implementation and upgrade projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines.
9. Digital Transformation & Process Automation
- Drive automation and digitization initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and management reporting systems.
- Improve efficiency through workflow automation.
- Introduce innovative technologies supporting institutional growth.
Qualifications
Education
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.
- MBA / PG Diploma in IT Management preferred.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL
- CISSP
- CISM
- CEH
- Microsoft Certifications
- Cisco Certifications
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
Experience
- 10–15 years of IT experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple locations/campuses.
- Experience in large organizations, or multi-site operations preferred.
