Senior Linux and Kubernetes System Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Architect, deploy, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters (OKE, AKS) including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Design and implement Kubernetes platform services: Ingress controllers, service mesh, secrets management (OCI Vault, Azure Key Vault), CSI drivers, and RBAC policies.
• Own the full lifecycle of Linux-based virtual machines across Azure and OCI, including provisioning, hardening, patching, and decommissioning.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) for repeatable, auditable deployments across cloud platforms.
• Implement observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) for both VM and container workloads, including log aggregation, metrics collection, and alerting.
• Lead incident response for Linux and Kubernetes platform issues; perform root-cause analysis and drive preventive measures.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging cloud-native technologies; provide technical recommendations to engineering leadership.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level Linux/Kubernetes engineers on debugging techniques, and operational best practices.
• Lead technical design reviews and contribute to the CloudOps engineering standards and runbook documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Application, Database) to define platform standards and shared-service offerings.
• Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives through internal tech talks, documentation, and pair-engineering sessions.

Job Requirements :

• 5-8 years of experience in IT services & consulting industry with expertise in Linux administration on Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration tools such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes Engine (K8s).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana/Zabbix/Nagios.
