Senior Legal Team

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Legal Team member to join our gaming software product company in India

As a Senior Legal Team member, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal guidance and overseeing various legal functions, including intellectual property (IP), gaming, public policy and advisory, taxation research, legality of fantasy games, and drafting legal documents

Experience in the gaming industry is highly desirable



Responsibilities:
Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the companys management and cross-functional teams

Oversee and manage legal operations, including intellectual property protection, licensing, and compliance

Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex issues related to gaming, fantasy games, public policy, taxation, and intellectual property

Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, licenses, and agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure legal compliance across the organization

Monitor and assess changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends related to the gaming industry, and provide proactive guidance to stakeholders

Collaborate with external legal counsel, when necessary, to handle litigation, disputes, or complex legal matters

Advise on the legal implications of business initiatives, partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions

Provide training and guidance to junior legal team members and other relevant stakeholders

Stay informed about emerging legal and regulatory developments in the gaming and software development sectors



Requirements:
Bachelors degree in law (LLB or equivalent)

Advanced degree (LLM) is a plus

Proven experience as a legal professional, with a focus on gaming, intellectual property, and related areas

Strong understanding of Indian and international laws and regulations related to gaming, intellectual property, and taxation

Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements and contracts

Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders

Demonstrated leadership and ability to provide strategic legal advice

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Familiarity with public policy and government relations in the gaming industry

Experience in managing and mentoring junior legal team members
