Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role is essential for delivery execution, and cross team coordination required to advance Software Automations across critical engineering initiatives. This position is directly tied to highimpact programs such as the Ansible playbooks creation for software delivery team and for future roadmap execution of the playbook through Arbor, and its absence risks delaying key automation improvements delivered through Arbor, Helix and Orchestra. These automation capabilities are foundational for shifting operational tasks left, enabling developer selfservice and significantly reducing manual effort across infrastructure operations.
Code QualityWrite secure, clean, testable, observable, and maintainable code. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Design and DevelopmentArchitect and develop robust Java-based applications using full-stack technologies. Focus on creating scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions that meet business requirements.
Event-Driven ArchitectureImplement and manage systems that operate on an event-driven model, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
Frontend DevelopmentWork with modern frontend frameworks like React, to build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces. Ensure seamless integration with backend services.
DevOps PracticesEngage in CI/CD pipeline development, automate deployment processes, and manage application monitoring and logging.
Team CollaborationWork closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, and other engineers to deliver cohesive solutions.
MentorshipProvide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, sharing knowledge on Java, cloud technologies, and software architecture principles.
In this role, you will- Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
- Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
- Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
- Drive solutions to reduce recovery
- Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
- Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
- Design complex system upgrades
- Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
- Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
- Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Java Proficiency: 4+ years of experience with Java, JVM languages, and related ecosystem (Spring, etc.).
- Event-Driven Systems: Deep understanding of event-driven architecture patterns, including message brokers like Kafka, MQ, or similar technologies.
- Proven track record in both frontend and backend development, with expertise in at least one modern JavaScript framework.
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Openshift, Azure, GCP) and their managed Kubernetes services.
- DevOps Tools: Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD tools like, Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in agile environments, leveraging tools like JIRA or Trello for project management.
- Education: Bachelor''s or masters degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Mandatory: Kubernetes, Hands-on experience in deploying, scaling, and managing applications on Kubernetes. IaaC experience, knowledge of Ansible constructs and integrations.
