Purchase Logistics

• Managed end-to-end procurement of international logistics services (Air & Sea Freight) for import and export shipments.
• Conducted RFQs, commercial evaluations, and negotiations with freight forwarders to achieve cost reduction and cost avoidance.
• Prepared freight procurement summaries based on indent details, Incoterms, cargo specifications, and bidding requirements.
• Evaluated logistics quotations based on freight rates, origin/destination charges, CBIC exchange rates, quotation validity, and commercial terms.
• Estimated budgetary freight costs using chargeable weight (Air), CBM (LCL), and container requirements (FCL), and provided cost forecasts for approval.
• Liaised with freight forwarders for shipment planning, cargo pickup, customs coordination, and delivery from POL/POD to plant locations.
• Monitored shipment status, resolved logistics issues, and ensured timely movement of import cargo.
• Maintained MIS reports, RFQ records, freight cost data, and procurement documentation for audit and analysis.
• Supported import procurement operations by ensuring compliance with procurement policies, commercial terms, and organizational timelines.
• Utilized Advanced MS Excel for freight analysis, cost comparison, reporting, and budgetpreparation.
• Work on SAP HANA
