Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & ExecutionIdentify requirements for utility spares & services (mechanical/electrical/CIVIL/AMC & CAMC/Manpower) in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.Vendor Development & ManagementSource reliable suppliers for mechanical and electrical spares & services.Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost.Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and develop new ones.Cost OptimizationNegotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.Conduct market analysis to benchmark prices and identify alternate sources.Compliance & DocumentationEnsure adherence to company procurement policies and statutory requirements.Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.Inventory CoordinationWork closely with stores and maintenance teams to monitor stock levels.Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and avoid stock-outs.Quality AssuranceEnsure procured spares meet technical specifications and quality standards.Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and approval.
Required Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical utility spares & services (pumps, motors, compressors, chillers, valves, electrical panels, etc.).Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.Familiarity with SAP systemsAnalytical and problem-solving abilities.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/EEE Engineering or Supply Chain Management.3–5 years of experience for BE & 5-8 years for Diploma in procurement within a manufacturing or industrial setup.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):On-time procurement of spares & consumables & services.Cost savings achieved through negotiation.Vendor performance and compliance.
