As a Senior DevOps Engineer on the Platform Services team, you will have the opportunity to apply your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. In this role, you will make an impact by:
- Building and maintaining the internal developer platform on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), owning the CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and environment automation that application teams depend on to deliver software.
- Driving software supply chain security from commit to production, including image security scanning, pipeline security gates, admission controls, and staged artifact promotion across environments.
- Defining and enforcing platform policy as code, governing what runs in our clusters, how environments are provisioned, and how secrets and access are managed at scale.
- Leading platform improvement initiatives, mentoring team members, and partnering with application teams, security teams, and cloud infrastructure teams to deliver a reliable, secure, and developer-friendly platform.
- Evaluating and adopting emerging platform capabilities, including self-service developer tooling, observability, automated certificate management, and supply chain integrity practices.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree or higher, completed and verified prior to the start date.
- Minimum of seven (7) years in DevOps and Platform Engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Hands-on experience with ROSA, including cluster administration, RBAC, namespace lifecycle management, and Kubernetes/OpenShift admission controls with policy as code.
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, ArgoCD, and Helm for automated and reliable application delivery.
- Solid understanding of software supply chain security principles, including SLSA, image signing and verification, vulnerability scanning, and policy enforcement at deployment gates.
- Good knowledge of Kubernetes networking concepts and CNI tools such as Cilium and Calico, along with AWS services including IAM, networking, certificate management, Step Functions, and Lambda.
- Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure automation using Bash and/or Python, along with experience using observability tools for metrics, alerting, and actionable dashboards; Red Hat or AWS certifications are a plus.
