Job Title: Senior DevOps & Enablement Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps & Enablement Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our Kubernetes-based Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and application development teams. You will drive platform adoption, improve developer experience, automate software delivery processes, and champion DevOps best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Developer Enablement & Platform Adoption
- Act as the primary technical contact for application teams onboarding to the Kubernetes platform.
- Guide developers on application deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, tutorials, and onboarding guides.
- Conduct technical workshops and training sessions on platform capabilities and DevOps methodologies.
CI/CD & Release Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable CI/CD pipeline templates using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Implement and support GitOps-based deployment workflows using ArgoCD and Helm.
- Integrate security, quality, and compliance checks (SAST/DAST) into delivery pipelines.
- Support modern deployment strategies including Blue-Green and Canary releases.
Platform Engineering & DevOps
- Troubleshoot application runtime issues on Kubernetes environments.
- Define and promote DevOps best practices, release management standards, and Git workflows.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve platform usability and developer productivity.
- Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously improve platform capabilities and tooling.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes application deployment, scaling, debugging, ingress controllers, and secrets management.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and Helm.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud services.
- Experience with version control systems and Git branching strategies.
- Knowledge of deployment methodologies including Blue-Green and Canary deployments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives.
- Knowledge of security scanning tools and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience mentoring development teams and driving platform adoption.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
