Role overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Java Developer with strong experience in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using Java and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Kubernetes deployments, REST APIs, Spring Boot and Microsoft SQL Server with extensive experience in writing and optimizing stored procedures.
Key responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs following Microservices architecture principles.
Design loosely coupled, resilient and highly available microservices.
Deploy, manage and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes clusters.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/ CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
Develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Views and Triggers.
Analyze and improve SQL query performance and database indexing strategies.
Integrate applications with third-party systems and internal enterprise services.
Write clean, maintainable and testable code following coding standards and best practices.
Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning and production support activities.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Event-driven architecture.
Distributed caching (Redis).
ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
OAuth2, JWT and API security.
Experience working in Agile/ Scrum teams.
Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event Sourcing is an added advantage.
