Title: Senior Developer (Java and Lamda)

Responsibilities
Design and develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda with Java.
Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
Develop REST APIs and integrate them with Lambda, API Gateway, and other AWS services.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable Java code following best practices.
Optimize Lambda functions for performance, cold start reduction, and memory usage.
Implement event-driven solutions using services like S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis for failures and performance bottlenecks.
Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards.
Participate in estimation, planning, and technical design discussions.
AWS Lambda and Typescript specific responsibilities
Design Lambda-based microservices and serverless workflows.
TypeScript: Advanced proficiency including generics, utility types, strict mode, declaration files, and module systems
Node.js: Strong understanding of the Node.js runtime, event loop, async/await patterns, and package management
Configure triggers, retries, dead-letter queues, and error handling strategies.
Manage IAM roles, permissions, and least privilege access for Lambda execution.
Work with CloudWatch logs, metrics, alarms, and tracing for monitoring and observability.
Backend Fundamentals: Solid understanding of RESTful API design, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Cognito), database design, and distributed systems
IaC Tools: Experience with at least one of AWS CDK (preferred), AWS SAM, or Serverless Framework
Deploy Lambda functions using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Handle versioning, aliases, rollback strategies, and environment-based deployments.
Integrate Lambda with databases, caching layers, and third-party APIs.
Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and cost optimization in serverless architecture.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications - 4-year Computer Science degree.
At least 6+ years of experience in Java + Lambda
AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and implementation notes.
Support production releases, incident resolution, and post-release monitoring.
Follow Agile/Scrum practices and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Coordinate with cloud/platform teams to align architecture and operational standards.
