About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in enterprise and cloud-based data modeling within the pharmaceutical domain. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience designing scalable data models and working with regulated healthcare and pharma datasets across clinical, regulatory, safety, and commercial functions.

This role requires strong collaboration with business, architecture, and engineering teams to design high-quality, compliant, and scalable data solutions supporting enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable data models.

- Develop data models supporting Pharma-specific use cases including :

1. Clinical trials

2. Drug development

3. Pharmacovigilance and safety

4. Regulatory submissions

5. Commercial analytics

- Standardize data definitions, metadata, and lineage documentation across the organization.

- Ensure compliance with Pharma regulatory standards such as :

i. GxP

ii. CDISC

iii. SDTM

iv. ADaM

- Review and optimize existing data models for scalability, performance, and reusability.

- Support cloud and hybrid data platform initiatives from a modeling and governance perspective.

- Establish and promote data modeling standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5-8 years of overall experience in Data Modeling.

- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in the Pharmaceutical domain (Mandatory).

- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling methodologies.

- Proven experience working in complex enterprise or regulated environments.

- Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as :

a. ER Studio

b. ERWIN

c. MS Visio

d. dbdiagram or equivalent cloud-based modeling tools

- Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.

- Exposure to cloud data solutions from a modeling perspective on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
