Job Description
A Dhurin senior data engineer adds value by for converting raw data into usable information for the two pillars of Insight and Prediction as well as Diagnostic and Description . In this role, you will lead our data work with various systems, and very likely with systems from across industries.
You will be expected to know, choose, and use technology to collect and map our clients data landscape to a choice of data science framework. You will ensure an accurate and efficient data supply to the data scientists and other stakeholders. In turn this will help decision-makers find cost savings and optimization opportunities. A project may involve creating a data architecture and governance and laying data-pipelines. It may also involve maintaining the existing set-up or even building or setting up entire data-lake or data marts.
You will
- Evaluate business needs and objectives
- Build data systems and pipelines
- Build algorithms and prototypes
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
We expect you to have
- Good exposure to at least one of AWS, GCP and Azure
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Technical expertise with data models, and data mining
- Programming knowledge (Java and Python)
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Degree in computer Science, IT, or similar field
We will be super happy if you have
- A data engineering certification (such as IBM Certified Data Engineer)
