Job Description

Key Responsibilities - Define and govern enterprise frameworks, standards, and processes for managing data flows between OLTP systems and the Lakehouse, ensuring alignment with enterprise data principles. - Develop and optimize solution architectures to address data inconsistencies and integrity issues, improving data quality and reducing storage costs. - Review and endorse architecture blueprints across the data platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise Data Architecture. - Establish and maintain architecture principles, frameworks, and guidelines for Technology Architecture Governance, providing oversight across subsidiaries. - Manage end-to-end architectural engagements, identifying gaps between current and desired data architectures and defining transition roadmaps. - Evaluate and review technical and architectural proposals, providing feedback and insights to improve technology efficiency and optimization. - Support architecture-related change management reviews and translate architecture roadmaps into executable projects and programs. - Conduct technology efficiency studies and translate findings into actionable roadmap items with measurable outcomes. Overview - The Senior Data Architect plays a critical role in shaping the digital data architecture and roadmap for the organization, providing technical leadership and advisory across the Telecom sector. - This role demands a strategic thinker who can evaluate current data architectures, identify gaps, and develop a transition roadmap to achieve target states. - With a focus on establishing and maintaining data architecture principles, the position ensures compliance with organizational policies while fostering an integrated, scalable data ecosystem. - As a remote role based in Hyderabad, this position offers an opportunity to influence and initiate data architecture transformations at an enterprise level. - The role involves defining and governing enterprise frameworks, standards, and pipeline architectures that manage data flows between OLTP systems and the Lakehouse. - The Senior Data Architect ensures the accuracy, consistency, and alignment of data flows with enterprise data principles, enhancing data quality and optimizing storage costs. - In this capacity, the individual will also develop solution architectures to address data inconsistencies and integrity issues, providing high-level architectural guidance to improve data quality. - Additionally, the role includes reviewing and endorsing architecture blueprints to ensure alignment with enterprise Data Architecture and updating architecture repositories with relevant artifacts and roadmaps. - The Senior Data Architect is responsible for managing architectural engagements such as blueprinting and assessments, evaluating as-is architectures, and defining to-be architectures for technology and business domains. - This responsibility extends to supporting Technology Excellence & Control in translating architecture roadmaps into executable projects and programs. Requirements - Master’s degree in Telecommunications Science and Technology or a related Engineering discipline. Preferred Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Data Engineering. - Minimum of 12 years of experience in the data domain, with at least 5 years in a data enterprise architecture role. - Preferred certifications in Enterprise Architecture such as TOGAF or Zachman. - Experience in managing large-scale Technology/Data/AI Architecture Transformation and Implementation programs. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence C-level executives. - Deep expertise in data management, Data Lake, Lakehouse, and EDW ecosystems. - Strong knowledge of key data platform technologies like Teradata, Databricks, and Hadoop-based platforms.
