Senior Data Architect Finance Data

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the architecture and design of Finance data platforms and data products at scale
• The ideal candidate will define enterprise data models, architecture patterns, governance standards, and scalable data pipelines that support financial operations, reporting, reconciliation, and analytics
• The candidate should possess deep expertise in both transactional and analytical data modeling, along with hands-on experience building large-scale data platforms using modern data technologies
• Experience designing Finance data architectures, driving technical strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable data solutions is highly valued
• The candidate should be capable of leading architecture discussions, mentoring engineers, establishing data best practices, and influencing the long-term data platform roadmap
• Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Modeling Define and own the architecture for Finance data platforms and enterprise datasets
• Design enterprise-grade transactional data models using MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Design scalable analytical data models using Hive, Spark, and modern data warehouse technologies
• Establish standards for fact, dimension, aggregate, historical, and reporting data models
• Define table grain, primary keys, partitioning strategies, indexing, retention policies, and historical tracking approaches
• Design data contracts and integration patterns across Finance systems and downstream consumers
• Data Pipeline Architecture Architect and guide the implementation of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting Finance use cases
• Design ingestion and processing frameworks including batch, incremental, CDC, backfill, reconciliation, and recovery workflows
• Ensure reliability, scalability, observability, maintainability, and cost efficiency of data pipelines
• Drive architecture decisions to optimize performance, scalability, and operational excellence
• Governance & Data Quality Establish data quality, lineage, metadata, ownership, and governance standards across Finance data platforms
• Define reconciliation frameworks and controls to ensure financial data accuracy, consistency, and auditability
• Implement best practices for monitoring, validation, metadata management, and operational excellence
• Partner with business stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration Provide architectural guidance and conduct design reviews across Finance data initiatives
• Mentor data engineers and architects on data modeling, architecture, and engineering best practices
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Engineering, Analytics, Product, and Operations teams to align business objectives with technical solutions
• Drive long-term data platform strategy, architecture standards, and technology roadmap
• Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related domains
• Strong expertise in transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) data modeling
• Deep hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hive, and Spark
• Expert-level SQL skills with strong understanding of distributed data processing systems
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale ETL/ELT architectures and data platforms
• Strong understanding of CDC, incremental processing, reconciliation, data quality, metadata management, and governance
• Experience working within Finance domains including payments, settlements, accounting, ledgers, reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Proven experience driving architecture decisions and leading large-scale technical initiatives
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
• Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with Spark SQL, PySpark, Hive SQL, Airflow, or similar orchestration frameworks
• Experience designing data architectures in fintech, payments, marketplace, mobility, or large-scale technology organizations
• Exposure to data governance, cataloging, lineage, metadata, and observability platforms
• Experience supporting audit, compliance, financial controls, and regulatory reporting requirements
